Due to limited capacity, an RSVP for non-members is necessary. Email info@xochikalli.org if you hope to attend.

A temaskalli, also known as a sweat lodge or Inipi ceremony, is a sacred ritual focused on purification and renewal in Nawa tradition.

We gather in a small, dome-shaped structure in total darkness representing our grandmother’s womb. Glowing hot stones are placed in the center, then the stones are splashed with water, and steam fills the lodge. It’s hot! This sacred heat from fire, stone, water, and air causes us to sweat and cleanses the body and our spirits.

Our ceremony lasts about 5 hours.
